Useful technology for the people building things

Your work should be the hard part. IT shouldn’t.

A café opening its doors. A practice growing through a new chapter. A lab building its next idea. We connect the right tools, cloud infrastructure and people so small teams can do big things without becoming an IT department.

One thoughtful starting point. Built around your day-to-day.Explore the possibilities

The idea

Start with how your business works. Then build the technology around it.

Maybe you need a reliable opening day. Maybe you need to understand who owns the accounts and data after an acquisition. Maybe your team is ready to turn a repetitive process into a useful workflow.

We bring infrastructure and systems engineering to small businesses—connecting cloud services, Microsoft 365, identity, information and security to the work people actually do. No scare tactics or promises that nothing can ever go wrong.

Behind the scenes

The right tools, working together.

You do not need to arrive with a technology shopping list. These are some of the pieces we can design, configure and connect when your work calls for them.

01 / BUILD

Cloud & infrastructure

Azure and AWS architecture, business systems, resilient access and recovery plans—built for the way your team uses them.

02 / ORGANIZE

Microsoft 365 & information

Teams, Exchange Online and SharePoint, with Microsoft Defender, Purview and retention or disposition settings shaped around your policies.

03 / CONNECT

Identity & workflows

Entra ID, zero-trust access for people and AI agents, and practical automation that takes repetitive steps off your team’s plate.

A few places this can start

Different worlds.
Useful work in each.

These are examples, not a one-size-fits-all package. Your business gets a plan for its real work.

For the neighborhood café

Keep the line moving.

Before the first rush, let’s make sure the register, guest Wi-Fi, business devices and the people using them have a setup that makes sense.

  • 01 POS and network setup with your payment vendor
  • 02 Guest Wi-Fi kept separate from business devices
  • 03 Business email, website and domain ownership
  • 04 A simple new-hire and outage playbook
  • 05 PCI paperwork and cyber-insurance evidence review

We can help identify gaps and organize what your provider asks for; payment validation depends on the setup and provider. We do not certify PCI compliance or answer for your insurer.

For the established practice

Know what the business owns.

During a merger, acquisition or change in ownership, visibility matters. Let’s make accounts, client information, access and everyday processes easier to understand and run.

  • 01 Map business-owned accounts, data and vendors
  • 02 Identity and access across merged teams
  • 03 Microsoft 365 collaboration and information governance
  • 04 Design and engineer agentic workflows for business processes
  • 05 Client records, retention policies and recoverable backups
  • 06 Written security-plan and audit-evidence readiness

Tax and financial data require a carefully scoped engagement. We can configure controls and help prepare evidence; your qualified advisers determine legal requirements and formal audit conclusions. Automation involving client data needs defined oversight.

For the growing lab

Build for what comes next.

From the first shared dataset to a team using cloud services and AI agents, we can help put the infrastructure and guardrails in place without slowing the work.

  • 01 Azure and AWS infrastructure architecture
  • 02 Research data access, collaboration and recovery
  • 03 Identity governance for people and AI agents
  • 04 Enterprise AI agent governance, configuration and security controls
  • 05 Data retention and destruction mapped to your policies
  • 06 Secure cloud access and useful operational visibility

Technology can help put a documented policy into practice; legal and research-data obligations should be defined with the right advisers before configuring retention or destruction.

Talk about your infrastructure

A sensible first step

Start with a clear picture.

A Security & IT Baseline conversation starts with what your team is trying to do. We can talk through the systems, cloud services, accounts and information you depend on; the work you would like to simplify; and any payment, insurance or audit evidence being requested. Then we can decide whether a defined assessment makes sense.

Ask about a baseline meeting

A conversation is not an audit or compliance certification. Any assessment or changes would be agreed separately.

What we’d talk through

  • What slows your team down today?
  • Who owns your accounts and data?
  • Where could a better workflow save time?
  • What needs to keep working or be recoverable?
? Better questions.
Better starting points.

About the founder

Hi, I’m Colter.

I’m an infrastructure, architecture and systems engineer and a Microsoft 365 administrator. Over 12 years, I’ve worked across healthcare, insurance, state and federal government, law offices, retail, manufacturing, education and more.

I started setITup solutions to help small businesses achieve large outcomes. My favorite place to begin is with a conversation about how work actually gets done—then finding and engineering the right technology to make it better, faster and more secure.
